Gustav problems subsiding -- but Ike?

Well, many residents of South Louisiana are still waiting on power, though I believe all the parishes have reopened. I'm amongst those lucky ones to have his power back already, though my parents don't have theirs yet and many, many others don't. I actually got my power back on Thursday afternoon, but the Internet service wasn't restored until this afternoon. Having only been out of power for a little over three days, I feel really lucky. Still, things are starting to feel part-way normal again, which is nice.

But while the effects of Gustav begin to subside, we've now got to worry about Ike, another storm barreling our way. The latest projections I've seen show this one going significantly west of us (rather like Rita went west after Katrina). Still, the tension won't really pass until Ike passes . . . I'll keep y'all posted.
